After a recent proposal to take over the reigns as editor, my life has been busy busy busy!
Believe it or not its hard yakka being an editor, it is a role that requires constant research, follow-ups and ideas...I am in charge of over-seeing all interviews, incluidng those of my own, the website's design, updates, archiving, and the final editing of every page once each issue goes up!
But, I am loving it! :) As a huge fan of music, this role allows me the opportunities to meet some brilliantly talented artists, some from the past and many new!
In a short amount of time I have interviewed some rather colourful characters, and had a chance to hear what's hot in the charts while doing so! My first real test was this month's issue, but I am very confident we have arrived on time and with a variety of musical genre to please everyone.
Led Zeppelin leading the review section, a real treat! Our Celebrity interview with Australian band, KRILL, was loads of fun and as I am already a huge fan, was a very pleasant experience catching up with them...watch the charts for these guys, they are going to be HUGE!
In news/events, we covered a few different musicians, including Foo Fighters, Sneaky Sound System, Justice and more...Scorpion Rising were profiled but expect another article once we get our interview completed. :) How many of you remember the disco era??? I have BOTH my hands up, waving frantically!! lol
This was my time, and I truly loved the music, the clothes, pretty much everything from the seventees...in saying this, our next issue will showcase the magic that was, KC & the Sunshine band! Former band member/co-founder, Rick Finch will be sharing his days of old, and filling us in on all his latest ventures, don't miss this one!
There are many plans for future issues, including a special JAZZ edition, so please stay tuned!
